CQUniversity provides a range of opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills.

The annual Student Leadership Conference is a key event that allows students to enhance their leadership skills and employability. The conference is a life-changing event that will boost your energy, inspire action, and ignite your personal leadership. Participate in empowering workshops, network with fellow CQUni students and staff and be inspired by our guest speakers.

Attendance requirements

This event is open to all students enrolled in Term 2 or Term 3 2020, as well as students in a TAFE or bridging course at the time of the conference.

As of 2020, all students must have completed one of the Leadership Certificates to attend the conference. Students seeking to apply for travel sponsorship are also required to have earned 30+ leadership points this year.

The following table outlines how you can acquire leadership points.

  • Attend a 1 hour - half day Social Innovation workshop.
  • Attend a Leadership Live guest speaker session.
  • Be in a leadership role in a CQUni affiliated club or society.

  • Complete the iChange program.
  • Attend a multi-day Social Innovation workshop.

2020 Conference

With the shift to online as a result of COVID19, this will be the first year we run our conference in virtual format (November). We aim to maintain the quality of experience and so will be taking a creative problem solving approach! More details coming soon.
