MyCQU - Gyms

Gyms

Physical activity is an important part of holistic health and wellbeing and is proven to improve mood and productivity. As well as sporting events and competitions, CQUni students have access to sports and fitness facilities to help you stay healthy and happy.

CQUni Facilities

Students have access to a range of free or subsidised sports and fitness facilities in Bundaberg, Rockhampton, and Mackay. More information about the facilities is available on the CQUni website.

World Gym Partnership

For students and staff in other regions (i.e. outside of Rockhampton, Mackay and Bundaberg), CQUni has partnered with World Gym to provide discounted memberships which entitle you to:

  1. Receive 15% off on selected ‘Home’ memberships at participating World Gym locations.
  2. Receive 20% off on selected ‘Platinum’ memberships at World Gym Sydney.

Some clubs may offer 1 complementary personal training session to help get you started.

To access the World Gym membership deals, go to http://worldgymaustralia.com/cquni/ and sign up using your student email address. A World Gym representative will then be in contact to assist in arranging your membership.

This offer is not available to staff and students located where there is access to existing CQUni sports facilities. Staff and students in these regions are encouraged to use the existing facilities at these locations.

Any further enquiries about this partnership should be directed to OHS-unit@cqu.edu.au.

Sports and Fitness opportunities are supported by funds from the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). All SSAF funds are used to enhance or extend student services and facilities in accordance with funding guidelines. Find out more about SSAF funding allocation.
