Computer Labs Facilities

CQUniversity provides students with access to a number of computer lab facilities at each of its metropolitan and regional campuses.

Regional Campuses
There are a number of general purpose and specialist computing labs available to students at Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Mackay, Gladstone and Noosa campuses. The locations of the computer labs available at these campuses are listed below.

Note: Students are required to carry their Student Identification (ID) card whilst in all teaching computer labs.

Brisbane Campus

Student Computer Facilities

Labs are available on Level 1 for general use. There are photocopier and scanner facilities available on this level.
Labs are also available on Level 5.

Teaching Labs

Each term certain labs are allocated for teaching purposes. These computers will have specialised course related software installed. Provided no classes are running, these labs are also available for general student use. A lab timetable is posted on the wall of each lab.

Student Lab Hours

  • WEEKDAYS (Mon - Fri) - OPEN 8:00am - CLOSE 10:00pm
  • SATURDAY - OPEN 10:00am - CLOSE 5:00pm
  • SUNDAY - OPEN 10:00am - CLOSE 5:00pm

Provided classes are running only students enrolled in the courses should remain during the class time, any other time the computer labs are available to all students.

Melbourne Campus

General Study Labs

The general computer labs are located on Level 4 and 9 with facilities for research purposes and the completion of assignments. Students can browse the internet, print their work or use the photocopier (Level 4 and 7). The computers in this lab do not have specialised academic software and are not used for teaching purposes.

Teaching Labs

Each term certain labs are allocated for teaching purposes. These computers will have specialised course related software installed. Provided no classes are running, these labs are also available for general student use. A lab timetable is posted outside each lab.

Student Lab Hours

  • WEEKDAYS (Mon - Fri) - OPEN 8:00am - CLOSE 9:40pm
  • SATURDAY - OPEN 9:00am - CLOSE 3:50pm
  • SUNDAY - OPEN 10:00am - CLOSE 3:50pm

Sydney Campus

General Study Labs

The general computer labs are located on Level 4 with facilities for research purposes and the completion of assignments. Students can browse the internet, print their work or use the photocopier (Level 3 & 4). The computers in this lab are not used for teaching purposes.

Teaching Labs

The Computer labs are located on level 5, 8 – 10. Each term certain labs are allocated for teaching purposes. These computers will have specialised course related software installed. Provided no classes are running, these labs are also available for general student use.

  • SATURDAY - OPEN 9:00am - CLOSE 5:50pm
