Will the University Reconsider Census Date?

We understand that many students are concerned about the current situation. To discuss your personal circumstances and the options available to you, please contact the Student Advice Team at or call 13 27 86.

International students can contact the International Student Support Team at or call 13 27 86.

I receive youth allowance/austudy/abstudy. Will this be impacted by the government’s stimulus package?

The Government’s stimulus package will incorporate help for full-time students who receive Youth Allowance, Austudy and Absudy. Eligible students will receive the $550 per fortnight boost to their payments. Please check your MyGov account or contact Centrelink to find out more.

How can students apply for a CQUniCares grant?

To apply for a CQUniCares grant, students should visit the CQUni website and check their eligibility.

I am a student who needs to find new casual or part-time employment. Is there a place where the University is advertising jobs available within the community?

Yes, where possible the CQUniversity Careers team is posting casual and part-time opportunities on the CQUni Career Hub.

Can I apply for a scholarship now due to COVID-19?

While we do not offer scholarships specifically related to COVID-19, CQUniversity offers a wide range of scholarships and financial assistance programs, including the CQUni Cares Emergency Grant.

What is SSAF and how is it used to support online services?

The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is a compulsory fee used by universities to fund and improve services and amenities of a non-academic nature. All SSAF funds are used to enhance or extend student services and facilities in accordance with funding guidelines.

CQUniversity services and amenities support both on-campus and online students. Among other initiatives, SSAF funding is used to help services like Studiosity, the Library, Student Counselling and CQUni Careers.

CQUniversity is committed to providing a positive and rewarding online student experience. Now, more than ever, we’re proud to be able to provide the services and support you’ve come to expect as a CQUni student. This is in part thanks to funding from the SSAF.
