Advice for students

For advice about campus facilities, please see the following questions and answers:

Will campuses be open in term 2?

Due to strict Stage 4 restrictions implemented by the Victorian Government, on-site operations at the Melbourne campus are temporarily suspended. No student access at this time.Teaching will continue as normal, as scheduled online. Students will also be able to access academic, library and support services online.

All other CQUniversity campuses and locations remain open with business as usual, except Sydney campus where, in line with the NSW State Government’s strong recommendation advising anyone outside of their home to wear a mask, we ask that all students, staff and visitors to the Sydney campus to wear a mask on campus, including in bathrooms, lifts, study spaces and work areas.

Despite many units transitioning to online delivery, you can still access our full range of student and academic support services and resources and facilities including computer labs and the library.

We will continue to provide updates via email, social media and via our website.

Do I have to wear a face mask on campus?

No, face masks are not compulsory on CQUniversity campuses EXCEPT for staff, students and visitors who visit the CQUniversity Sydney campus, where it is recommended that every person wears a mask while on campus. This is due to State Government recommendation that anyone outside their home should wear a face mask or appropriate face covering. All visitors to campus should adhere to this advice and ensure they are wearing an appropriate face mask or cover while they are in areas including bathrooms, lifts, study spaces and workspaces.
